I started cycling in 1997/98. First only on the road bike. since two years also occasionally on a 29er mtb. Usually the routes I cycle on and around the Amstel Gold race route. Also the environment where I live. However, sometimes I take on the challenge of conquering a mythical mountain. In the past I have climbed several times to the top of the Mont Ventoux. The Stelvio is also one of my conquests. I cycled to the top via Prato and survived 48 hairpin bends. I also cycled to the top of the Kaunertalergletscher in Austria, a climb of 40 km. For the year 2019, among others, the Galibier is on my list and who knows, I get the chance to control other mythical mountains.
