Hi AllBlack’s!My name is José Augusto Moça, i am 38 years-old. I live in Póvoa de Varzim – Portugal with two beautiful women, my wife and daughter.
Although i am just a noobie i love cycling. I just started riding early this year.
I used to go to the gym and run on the streets.When i was diagnosed with Chondromalacia patellae, also known as “runner’s knee,” it is a condition where the cartilage on the undersurface of the patella (kneecap) deteriorates.So i kept going to the gym and i started doing physical therapy for the knees. My therapist advised me to start cycling to strengthen my leg muscles and that’s when this addiction started.
I love to train outside, i love the smell of the streets so i bought my first bike (MTB) and i started riding everytime i got the chance. In the morning, in the afternoon or even at night. I work in shifts so…
I found out that cycling really is an awesome addiction. So since then i bought myself two more bikes, a road bike and more recently a fixie.Since i tried the fixie which i ride brakeless i never used any of my other bikes ever again.The feeling you get when you ride a fixie bike is unique.
Another great aspect about cycling is the companionship between riders. It is unbelievable!
Cycling is great for the heart the mind and the soul!
