Jacco de Vries (1971), Uithoorn (The Netherlands)
Born in the early seventies and addicted tot anything on wheels since my childhood. Growing up in a small Dutch villaged urged me to cycle quite a distance to highschool. This turned out to be a proper basis to ride long distances and enjoying riding in any type of weather.
I work at a large bike store and commute to work every day. That way I ride an average of 500 km a week. As a former bike messenger I like doing crazy stuff on a bike like Everesting (Passo Gardena and ‘Het Kopje van Bloemendaal’) the Rapha Festive 500 in one go and various 24-hour races through The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
Usually I ride fixed gear, but for the longer rides with elevation I really enjoy my steel Cinelli Nemo as well.
During every ride I take at least one picture of myself riding, using a small tripod and my iPhone. Check my Instagram!
That way I’d like to inspire cyclists to enjoy cycling even more, ride every kind of weather and do long rides and crazy stuff as well.
Through the All Black Cycling Club I hope to inspire people, as much as being inspired by others.
