Peter, (1965), Melbourne (Australia)
I am married to a very lovely and patient lady who has blessed my life with two amazing kids. I travel often for work, clocking up over 100,000km in flights every year.
I began cycling some 20 months ago to lose weight and become fitter. My first ride was in December 2016 in a beautiful part of Victoria called Bright. I rode 6km on an old mountain bike. It was hard on me, driving home the fact that I’d turned 50 and was no longer the fit youngster of yesteryear.
I became very determined to become fit. I set my goals and rode every chance I got. I totally enjoyed it and still do. I get up at 4.30am before work and ride. I get up before dawn on weekends and ride. Beach Road for fast flat terrain and the hills to suffer on. Anywhere. My mantra has become ‘The harder it gets, the stronger I become’.
I enjoy sharing my rides with photographs; Nature, bikes, suburbia… The world is amazing from a bike saddle!
Thanks for having me here, it is such a buzz writing this… Peace to all out there and may we all turn over our cranks for many years to.
